Tasked with creating a new cover and merchandise for a selected album, I decided to design an album cover for the Cure’s Disintegration. I used Robert Smith’s iconic hair to inspire the main motif and custom typeface. I embraced the gothic subculture connected to the Cure through my monochromatic colour palette, which I carried into all promotional collateral. The outcome is a visual identity that pays homage to the band’s legacy whilst offering a fresh take to it.
